| Phil Blake used to break the line and chip the full back, before catching the ball and scoring.

| Quote Wire Weaver="Wire Weaver"I seem to remember in the 70's Dave Chisnall chipping over the defence at Wigan and the ball rebounding off the crossbar of the posts, back in to his arms, for him to score under the post. Not sure if was against Wigan or in a cup match.'"
Fairly sure that was a CC quarter final against Wigan at their old Central Park. I believe we were met by a hail of bottles as we left at full time only for the wire line to hold and give chase. Happy days.

Then add to that Gelling heroically jumping in front of the last second penalty kick in the World Club game.

Alfie Langer casually taking the ball one on one from Tommy Martyn's hands and calmly putting it down to score a try being another.
'"
That's one I was going to say. I recall there was some confusion and Martyn didn't play to the whistle? Was that a Sky game? Is there a video anywhere?

| Again, not so much a one-off trick play but something that was used frequently throughout a season.
If Warrington had a PTB on the opponents line, Ken Kelly would stand at dummy half with Bob Eccles directly behind him.
Kelly would scoot off to one side pretending to pick up the ball and Eccles would come in, pick the ball up and plonk it over the line.
This worked on multiple occasions and was probably the same season as Eccles finished as leading try scorer.
I'm also fairly certain I saw John Woods as marker at a PTB and still manage to perform an interception from the opposition's dummy half.

| I remember under Cullen's tendency that we would catch defences offside by trapping the ball with the loose forward.

| Reg Bowden running across the line 10m out and a reverse pass to the only player ever that would make Mose Masoe look small, Pat Poasa. Who would come steaming through under the posts. Used to try that pass all the time in games and never managed it!!

That happened more recently with Henry Faafili.

| The Heanare try was a classic, memory is patchy but I think Sculthorpe ran at the ref and moved him out of the way for Henare to power through.
