| Quote ThePrinter="ThePrinter"Moaning at the ref isn't a grade C offence, delibrate contact with one is. Might not have been the biggest push in the world but it's one of the first rules of RL/sport that every player knows, you don't touch the ref, simple as really.'"
In that case why isnt the Leigh player who deliberately make contact with Silverwood also facing the same charge?

Don't be daft trying to make out as if they're the same. Currie has a little petulant nudge on the ref because of the decision against him. The Leigh player merely places a hand and his back and says "he pushed you".

So is shaking his hand after the final whistle. Anybody trying to suggest both 'contacts' are the same shouldn't be allowed near a RL game or any TV that's showing it.

At last a voice of reason.
Contact with a ref, be it accidental or in communication is inevitable in nearly all games. Deliberate contact like a push or hock style tackle falls way out of the inevitable zone.

Wow. Really? Its an opinion just because we don't share it means i shouldn't go the games or watch it? Regardless of if you agree or disagree contact was made with the ref during the game.

| Had another look at the incident last night by re-running the game off the planner so not isolating the incident. It's clear that Currie gives the ref a quick nudge in petulance/anger, Silverwoods face shows a bit of shock as to what happened there. Emmit does touch the ref and mutter something, but that is not the same thing in any way. He's banned it's over. After tonight's game there will be something else to debate.

| So what a surprise LMS gets away with man handling the ref, Currie gets 2 match ban it's a joke!
Inconsistency of what players can do or not do is getting ridiculous. Even Thaler gave him a look so it was definitely not missed by him can't believe not even a caution!

| Because it wasn't the same. Currie's was an assault.
It's time to let go of this touching lark. It's not the same. One with intent of (very minor) assault and the other isn't. It really is that simple.

| One was a push, the other was a pull, both were deliberate contact with the referee and both deserving of bans. Typical RFL judiciary (lack of) consistency.

| If I spark him out one week and you tickled his feet the next do you want to spend the same amount of time as me suspended?
