It's embarrassing for a pro club to not only ask this but to announce it on Twitter too is just dreadful. All that money and he hasn't bothered starting from the bottom up.
Get on with it drop the whinging mentality and keep your business in house and not all over social media.

Surely that's a spoof.

Just proves that not all publicity is good, Marwan does himself and Salford no favours. Every club has suffered similar problems over the years but deal with it without the outpouring of garbage to no one in particular.

I don't really see much of a problem with asking for a postponement in the circumstances that would otherwise mean fielding a significantly weakened team, such:

a. Field a "youth" team - has a knock on effect to their competition, with players either having to play twice within a short space of time, or the minor game subsequently having to be postponed.

b. Spectators - if I were a Hull fan, I wouldn't be too chuffed at paying full price to see a weakened Salford side, so I might choose not to go, thus affecting Hull's revenue (likewise, if they feel the need to reduce ticket prices to compensate).

c. Competition integrity - yes, its tight at the top & bottom, a Hull landslide win against a weakened team might be detrimental to many with regards to points difference come the splitting of the 8/4.

But injuries are part of the game, you can't start postponing games because of it. Food poisoning wiping out the whole first team the night before a match maybe, but injuries to a squad can't surely be a good enough reason.

The RFL do not need to get involved with this and blaming everyone under the sun isn't going to do you any favors. In addition, the reason the penalty count is so high is that your players are using dirty tactics week in week out. Look at Chase, banned for a stupid tackle. Salford are becoming a team which people want to fail and its because this fool is spouting rubbish to the press and on social media.

Quite hilarious that this is the person pushing for the marquee allowance but can't put a 25 man + squad together for the day to day games.
