| Quote nico="nico"Good luck to Richie if he does.
No one should turn down the opportunity and I think he does cop for too much grief from our species.
If we can keep him fit, I think we will see him thrive later in the year playing off Clark.'"
100% agree with this,if he gets to move down under then I hope he smashes it as he is a player who definitely improves our team when he is in it.

We can see who wears the trousers in that marriage, then.

| I had heard that Helen Myler had received offers from Australian Television (don't know how much truth there is in this though).
If we can get a top quality half back in for next season who can put things on a plate for Myler, a la Briers, then I would keep him. He is great finisher. This has all been said before though on this forum.

We've got one with Patton. V Wakefield his kicking game had Briersy's influence written all over him.
He's good enough so he's old enough.
Not sure we'll have enough to beat the Pies. Our grip on them is over. They have beaten us in at least the last 5 games on the bounce.

I'll give Duckie his due, he covers all bases - Ratchford and Bridge were our only hope this time last week, now young Patton is our one and only saviour.
I suppose whatever half back combo eventually succeeds, then Duckie will dig out a quote from somewhere saying that he told us all along??!!...

R&B are a proven unbeaten working hb partnership from all of the combinations we had possible.
For whatever reason, Smith chose not to return to that combination, I can make as much noise and as FMC called it propaganda as I can but it won't change ewt.
I said a couple of weeks back before Patton got selected that I had given up on championing R&B, as even I got fed up of hearing it myself.
I honesty don't care who is at hb, as long as Wire win and win well, but that didn't happen with any other hb Partnership, post Briers and pre Patton, but R&B.
I love Wire and I'll make myself look the prat of the forum if I thought that in doing so someone would perhaps read what the fans think and "smell the custard".
Smith gets paid to coach but hey we all make mistakes but he seems too bloody stubborn to admit it. He has made huge blunders by the bucket load in overseas player recruitment, bench selection in a grand final and splitting up what was clearly the leagues best hb combo for 7 weeks in 2014 to which he ruddy well said himself!!! That is what narks me the most.
Moving on we have Patton. I really hope he is the holy grail. If he proves to be the best hb and Wire become unbeatable again and Smith puts him back in the reserves or swap his hb partner and our form drops, I'll be as fiery noisy with propaganda of equal proportions shouting out my support of Patton and displeasure in Smith.
Hopefully somebody gets it now, I'm not necessarily wanting R&B partnership, I want a winning formula.

I always love a big mouth who can't take a bit of criticism....
Stick to passing your opinions to your taxi passengers, Duckie....

| I love the critic that gives his opposing opinion when criticising. Unfortunately you didn't do that. Put up or shut up.
