Quote: rubber duckie "No pal.
I'm not going to explain to you why age and sex in a professional sports team are exempt from some aspects of the equal opportunities act.
Use you loaf!'"

Few points:-
1 - There is no such thing as the Equal Opportunities Act. Do you mean the Equality Act?
2 - There is no exemption, whatsoever, for professional sports teams, in the Equality Act - or indeed, in any piece of employment law. However, if I'm wrong about that (I'm not) then I'd be fascinated to hear which bit in particular - can you help?
3 - What you are proposing is Direct Age Discrimination. That is prohibited under s13 of the Equality Act. Now, you can, feasibly, justify direct age discrimination if it is a proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim. However, I don't think WWRLFC would be able to do that. If you weren't such an insufferable tit I would go into the detail but I don't think you'd be able to grasp it.
So no, you are not going to explain to me why "age and sex in a professional sports team are exempt from some aspects of the equal opportunities act". Mainly because it is complete . I'm not sure that a career in the legal profession is quite for you pal.
OK pumpkin?
