| I don't know for certain who is paying all their expenses, but I would certainly be interested to know. I think that the English clubs had to put up a bond with the RFL for around £170k. I am assuming we will not get this back, so the gate money and shirts will have to cover it.
What are peoples guess for the attendance ? I have heard nothing from the club.

I think Simon Moran mentioned we are "way off" in the guardian. I don't think they have helped themselves by making an adult ticket in the north £45! Seems rather steep Compared to the other stands.

| Well I assume the £45 seats are for the wealthy celebs who only grace the HJ for the occasional match like Wire v Wigan or Saints. The only club info that I have heard about attendance, was that half the premium seats had been sold quite early on. I will be slumming it in the South as usual, and just booked a ticket last night for £22.50.
Surely we can get 12,000 ?

I am no celeb!!! yes I agree £45 is expensive but I bought mine and one for my lad as a Christmas present. Moran has contributed a lot more cash to this club than I ever will so its my way of paying him back for all of his efforts. I think its the least we could all do!! lets show our gratitude to him and the club by supporting our great club and parting with a little extra for a ticket.

Agree with sentiment, but hiking the price of a seat by almost 50% is going OTT.
Much as I admire Mr Moran, think he has made a big mistake.
The total revenue, kiosks, bars etc will be down with less than a full house, albeit with some paying £45 for which is in reality a glorified friendly.
Myself & fellow spectators around me seem to be relocating to other parts of the ground.

| I studied marketing and economics at college and I still admit that SM knows far more about marketing that I ever will. SM comments that we are still a long way off, contradict some reports Ive heard that its going to be a bit of a night. I expect South to be sold out, West to be virtually sold out and any place within the capacity will be in the seats (like many a game at the HJ).
In simple terms, if we sold one average tickets at £20 to sell out the whole game = £300,000 revenue (working on 15k). At £25 we only need to sell 12k tickets for the same revenue. The club wont make any more on food and drink from the extra attendance as the catering is run by outside contractors and they would have to pay for additional staffing and emergency service.
We need to ask if this is a revenue generating exercise of if its a fan numbers exercise. Bradford went down the latter route and looked what happened to them.
Said it once, said it many time, I trust SMs (and the boards) judgement on the best way to market a particular game for maximum returns than any "Ive got an idea" internet poster
