He had a poor season last season but the year before was one of his best, he certainly not in my top 17 but still a sad way to leave the club.

How harsh are you lot? He has been with us from being a junior player and always a loyal servant to our club.

Think he deserves rather better than just to be dismissed like this by both the club and supporters.

a senior player has a falling out with the physio? I'd expect tony to slap them both on the head and say grow up.

I have seen the social media pictures and text and it does appear that he is on the way out. Unless it is some elaborate wind-up on his behalf.

I understand he’s resigned pretty much as set out initially by Vectrabest.

With Hill, Sims, Asotasi, Harrison and Evans in front of Wood and a drop in performance last season I guess there wasn’t the desire to change his mind this time. It will also free up a bit of salary cap to balance the squad better with a third dummy-half to support Clark and Higham.

A bit unfortunate how it has come to pass as Wood has been a consistent performer for us for a good number of years. Like Briers last year he hasn’t had the opportunity to say his goodbyes and receive the applause of the supporters with a traditional lap of honour.
