| The thing with Myler is you still feel there's potential there. If you let an underperforming prop leave and he goes on to be a good player, you get over it and you move on. However, if you let your first choice halfback leave and he goes on and improves, we'll be kicking ourselves so much.
I've never been huge on Richie, but he's produced special moments in glimpses and scored/created some brilliant tries. Halfback is easily the hardest position to find top quality in at the moment, people keep on saying "Let Myler go and bring in a proper half back with leadership and a kicking game"; but how many of them are knocking about? I see the frustrating aspects of Myler, but I'd be gutted if he left and matured into a better player/leader. How long can you sit on potential before you give up on it and let it be another side's issue? I don't know, but given the dearth in quality halfbacks, especially British ones, I think it's a risk loaning him out and essentially ending his time at the club aged 24, especially with this being his first season without Briers.

| I loved how Brian Johnson would effortlessly arch passed defences with his long stride gliding runs.
His pace was so deceiving.

| Danny Lima ran from deep, doens't make it right.
The concept is that a ball player has multiple options. The days of a prop forward sprinting out of the line to plant one on a half back are behind us, therefore the spaces don't open up for the inside pass/scissors as much. Yes they do present themselves with a lazy defender and or a poor defensive read, but the game is far more advanced, and structured than that, like it or not. The hours spent on video analysis to work out a defensive 'shape' dictates that it's harder to make a break.
Wigan score more tries than most, typically because their process is stronger. The lead runner and the sweep behind is a number manipulation move, trying to draw a bad read from a defender, so halves don't necessarily break down defences much any more, simply hold on for a defender to do something wrong.
I loved the old days of a nimble scrum half jinking past a couple of forward and picking out a runner, but it's just not today's game.

Stoosh was an outstanding album. Really liked Weep as well as Hedonism. It didn't appear on that album, but Search and Destroy was also brilliant.
