| He's a bit of a genius. I hope he stays in some capacity, if only to pass down some of that genius to Clarke, who at the moment is only a runner.

To be fair he's a bit better than RL's Forrest Gump!
I agree with the praise being heaped on Monaghan back to his best let's hope he goes out on a high

| Should be commended for his reaction to Grix's injury on Thursday too. Total love and respect for his team mates and he should stay here as a 2nd assistant coach for definite.
If he does go off elsewhere I hope he returns as a head coach when TS moves on (hopefully a good few more years away).

That's not what I said. Maybe I should have said that Clarke is a completely different hooker to Monaghan, he doesn't possess the skills that Monaghan has when it comes to being able to unlock the toughest of defences. Hopefully that will come over time.

| What happens regarding work permits if we or anyone else want to appoint Michael Monaghan as a coach?
As he's not an EU citizen he's going to need a new work permit if he changes jobs in the UK. He's not got any coaching experience so will he be able to get one?

| Just echoing the above, you do all realise he has no coaching experience whatsoever?

| Yes I'm aware. I think he has the tactical brain to make a good coach though.

"....Clarke, who at the moment is only a runner" praise indeed, I bet Clark can't wait to wear the P&B

| Hold on! Hold on!
Yes, MonaghanM is (was) a class act, but this doesn't automatically mean he's going to launch into a successful coaching career.
He's been paid well for what he currently does.
We've just given Briers a job (again, after great service). We'll have Woody and Westwood retiring soon. Are we to instantly make job titles up for these two, as well?
We don't owe these people a living.
