| Two interesting replies from my post in the Rabbitoh's forum....
1 - "The short answer is that he's well past his sell-by date. During his last two seasons here, he was very injury-prone and rarely pulled up trees even when he was fit. Time and the physical demands of rugby league tend to catch up with everyone eventually. Your problem is that SL clubs spend big on names from the past, and NRL players tend to regard British rugby league as an opportunity to make a quick buck to subsidise their zimmerframes...
Roy is a legend over here, and deservedly so. But what you guys did when you signed him was the equivalent of buying a ticket for a Bob Dylan concert these days... "
2 - "Sadly I have to echo Park St's comments above, although disagree with the Bob Dylan analogy - I'd say you'd get pretty much what you'd expect from a Dylan gig, and I'm not aware of any drastic decline in his live performances.
Yes, Roy is what you'd call a spent force these days, and doesn't look like getting any sort of mojo back. I cannot fathom what Warrington saw in these past few years that made them take the plunge.
Sorry I can't offer any cause for optimism mate.
Congrats on the excellent win over Leeds the other day - was good to watch.
Cheers
R "

He will deserve it if he contributes to a winning performance.
Clearly he has never done this in the past and thus has never deserved to be in a final, i suspect that the same scenario will occur tomorrow.:30555.jpg |

| When it was announced that we had signed him I took note if his performances and I was saying last July that he would not cut the mustard! It was just obvious that he is not the player of former years.

| He would have fitted in well at bradford, was being bounced round last year that the burgess had been trying to push him towards us but he signed for you.

Obviously Luke then, I doubt Tom or Sam would inflict that on you.

| Ball playing forwards are not the normal in the southern hemisphere. Yet did you know that the ball playing forward that was introduced into the ozzy game in its small capacity, had its origins from Warrington?
I'll let that sit with you for a short time than I'll expand on it if nobody knows or works out who was responsible.
