| Quote Ganson's Optician="Ganson's Optician"Completely agree. The NRL can be incredibly difficult and boring to watch at times.'"
A lot of people can't see that though.
A 54-0 win in Super League would be classed as an embarrassment.
A 54-0 win in the NRL would be classed as a world class masterpiece in RL for the team that won.
A 34-33 win in the NRL would be classed as a thoroughly superb game, swinging back and forth with great drama at the end won by a drop goal.
A 34-33 win in Super League would be classed as two teams who's defence was shocking and the team that won were lucky to get away with the win.

| I don't subscribe to that theory WFIII but I still love watching the NRL especially the teams with the Brit lads in (as well as my team Sharks)

| But isn't the English game getting what the spectators allegedly wished for ,a more level playing field where any team will, in time, be able to beat any other in an epic encounter & the theory being that it will be repeated on every ground week in week out ? Unfortunately there aren't enough players with enough talent in the English game at present to achieve that. It doesn't help the cause of rugby league in general to be seen as something stuck to the shoe of ruggah & to have to compete with the national game of soccer & then to be shafted by tv as a shuttlecock in their schedules. We are supporters of i minority sport in England whereas the NRL has the advantage of being able to compete more strongly to be classed as the number one sport in Australia ,although they too must be feeling the pinch from Union & ARL.

| Season tickets sales are down due to the unpredictability of the fixture dates towards the end of the season and a reduction in disposable income. We get outplayed/out enthused by Hull KR, Castleford and Bradford, and Catalans could very easily have been next. Therefore this is not a game where people are going to "pay on the gate". The game is on TV just before a weekend when there will be sell-out crowds at Anfield and the Etihad the two big local soccer teams go head to head for the title.
It was always going to be a no-win situation for the attendances. We wouldnt even have sold out if they charged £3 a ticket

| Quote Deus Dat Incrementum="Deus Dat Incrementum"The product on show is poor and not just from warrington but across most of the matches in Sl. I got hooked up with premier sports about a year ago. I was lucky enough to see 3 games in Aus last year. The NRL is light years ahead in terms of quality. For the first time since the mid nineties (and that was because I just didn't leave the boozer) I have started to be a bit less bothered about going to a game. That is not because of our performances because I don't even look forward to a big game on sky as much as I did. The bulk of games are just not very good entertainment.
Sky have probably showed 30 games so far this year and how many of them are top quality intense games that could go either way with 5 mins to go.
Perhaps the changes to the league structure may help provide more competitive matches and provide more interest.'"
totally agree.anyone who thinks our league games are better than our aussie friends need to go and get medical help..i will admit there are some good games but they can be counted on 1 hand

| Warrington are in the entertainments business and entertainment has been woefully lacking in many of our performances this year.
If you went to a restaurant and the food was appalling would you go back?
If you went a gig and the band couldn't play would you see them again?
Loyalty, tradition, and the recent memories of good times dictates people will keep coming back in certain numbers, but your floating speccie, your curious new fan and your dissillusioned ex-fan have shallow pockets and no-shortage of places to spend their hard-earned in the pursuit of entertainment.

| I guess there are lots of reasons why the attendances are in decline. I was just giving you mine. I will probably still buy a season ticket for the next 25 years, I was just saying that over the last couple of seasons I have looked at some fixtures (Salford at home last year was one) and thought can I even be bothered going even though I have a season ticket. I will continue to watch the games I just feel like the level of entertainment across SL has dropped. I will applaud any example of quality RL (unless it is by WIGAN) and I can sit and applaud tries like Escare's last night but those instances are becoming more rare across all SL games. I would love most SL games to be competitive, but sometimes teams don't even have to be creative to score or to work hard for a win.
So why the low attendance then, Finances, people on holiday, weather, game is on Sky, Or is it just not as entertaining as it could be.

| Is the problem the playoffs?
If it was a league season that actually rewarded the team that finished top over the full season by naming them champions, there might be more interest in games like last night?

Don't forget that the referees are super human and never make mistakes.
