It does look better and there are some nice new features. The developer has also mentioned they've updated the content management system, which should make it easier for the club to update the site.
Some issues are the font type (Arial might have looked better), font size (it seems far too big in places) and some column widths are too small.
For example the Venue column on the fixtures page looks messy. The league table could have less space, and the fixtures/results could then be given more space. I know it's work in progress, so hopefully some problems will be fixed.

In my opinion the new Wolfware design (by another company) is spot on.
