| 1. We got a penalty not long before the break and kicked for touch. Stupidly we tried to run in a try on tackle one and Bridge was put into touch. We should have either, one, kicked for goal from the penlalty or, two, taken our time with the set and ran the clock down.
From there the game turned on it's head...
2. J Monaghan got his injury, the game had a long break where our momentum was completely lost.
3. Wigan scored just before HT.
4. Wigan scored just after HT.
5. Ratchford got injured.
6. From there for about five minutes our defensive line was all over the place.
7. Wigan scored again.
There was no coming back from that the game was over as we were gone and then Wigan went and scored again just to rubber stamp it.

| Commiserations to every Wire fan there last night (Apart from Dropkick Murphy)
I thought it was yours at half time. I felt terrible and thought there was absolutely no way we would come back and win.
I can't believe it. Better luck next year.

| Quote Dita's Slot Meter="Dita's Slot Meter"For once, I agree entirely with you.... I'm more gutted this year than after last year's loss to Leeds, simply because after that loss there was no 'what ifs' because Leeds fully deserved the win and were the better side.
Now I'm not saying Wigan didn't deserve the win, however, there is a definite stench of 'if only's' and 'what ifs' about tonight's game - The fact was, until Monaghan's injury, Wire were dominating, almost cruising to victory. Wigan were making mistakes, almost crumbling under the pressure of the scoreboard getting away from them.
Soon as Monaghan departed and Wigan almost immediately scored, then it was pretty obvious that Wire had a massive task on their hands... At half time, when we should have been pretty giddy about our prospects, I actually said to my son that we was in big trouble, simply because the whole shape of our side was now badly damaged.
When Ratchford went off, that for me was it....We had 8 forwards on the pitch, the structure of the team was in pieces and Wigan were able to force the pace of the game - The best side did win, but I think most sides in the league would have took that Wire side, with that (lack of) formation apart in the second half.
I'm not saying its a shallow victory for Wigan, but if they had lost Tomkins and Richards in similar circumstances, then I think its obvious the effect that would similarly have had on them and they would have been left thinking what most Wire fans are thinking tonight.'"
Sums it up perfectly.

| Just made myself watch the game back again. Obviously the fact that we were down to 15 men had a big impact, but there were too many daft penalties and mistakes throughout the game. Wigan did incredibly well to come back from that deficit, but losing a comfortable lead is something we have done too often this year.

| Quote bowvey="bowvey"You idiot!!!!!!!!!
What's up have Wigan started winning titles again????
Just remind me how your taught rugby as a kid because I'm sure I was taught to tackle round the legs as"they can't run with out there legs"
If 1or 2 men have tackled a player but he's stayed on his feet what you expect us to do let him stand and get a quick play of the ball or try and get him on the deck? Guess how you do that you take there legs from under them
Every team in the league do it even your lot when they don't miss the tackle
Fool'"
Garbage. It was deliberate attempt to inure a fellow professional and was only ever going to have one outcome. My knee ligaments were ripped clean in two by a similar incident (being held on the upper body whilst a third player cuts in at the joint) and it is a disgraceful thing to so to another player.
