| I watched the 1990 cc not long back.
Back then we only sang Warrington Warrington Warrington....
But we sang "you'll never walk alone" at the end!
One drunken Alex Murphy, co commentator on the BBC, thought the pies were singing it. They wasn't, it was definitely us. I was there singing it too.
we've never sang that since...the irony if we sang that at old Trafford.
I'm no Liverpool fan or Utd, but would have sang it regardless.
Its a bigger song at Celtic, Utds unofficial twin club than Liverpool, more irony!
Back then, the pies didn't chant or sing, except for the occasional Wigan,Wigan,Wigan chant.
Its only since they faced relegation, they've become more tuneful!

| Quote: Teessidewire "Rico. I think Rogues would tell you that he was very well respected in Wigan. There was a lot of criticism from fans about the manner in which he was treated when he first became ill. He was, of course, a Wigan lad.'"
Cheers TeeSSide I would hope that he was

| Not a fan of these threads, so not read through to see if my idea is original, but;
After about 25 minutes when Monas comes on, we could copy that Man City song about the Toure brothers. Do the arm movements and everything.

| Quote: Dropkick Murphy "All Warrington songs are rubbish without exception.
I'll be too tense to sing anything before or during the match, but will probably scream "COME OOONNN!!!" a few times.
If we win I'll be elated and will sing absolutely anything Wire related in post-match celebration no matter how rubbish it is.
I'm not sure how that relates to "singing the opposition off the park" but then I'm not overly concerned either.'"
Exactly this.
