| After a rather distasteful coach trip last year during which I lost most of my respect for the human race and my son nearly lost his teeth, I am planning on driving to the game this year.
Does anyone have any experience or recommendations for parking?

| Well guitar man last year we parked at Altringham station and took the metrolink in and back with little if any hassle or delay. Make sure you get a return ticket though or you will have a big queue on the way back.
Another alternative is to park at the Old Trafford cricket ground which I have done occasionally too

Monitoring outside for the people inside: |

| Would second the Ladywell tram stop park and ride. Just off 602 and most people after the game are going the other way, ie into Manchester.
Its free, secure with an attendant present 24/7

| Have a look at the Man Utd website - you can book parking on there at the ground. It was £9 last year

| Most parking around the ground was a tenner last year....Best place is Old Trafford cricket ground - Easy to get to, very quick getaway.
