Has there been history between Ablett and Briers, or has McDermott just thought 'Ablett's expendable, let him go and wind-up Briers. If both get sent of, I've lost a squad player, and Wire lose their lynchpin'
Either way, Briers is one of the biggest wind-up merchants in the game, and he's been "hoist by his own petard", encouraged by Leeds.
As I've said before, Briers was idiotic in what he did.
The RFL have a disciplinary process, he'll plead early, as guilty, and not get a ban. I fail to see the point of the vitriol spouted by other club's fans at this outcome, as their players would use the same "get out clause", should the time arise'"
The problem is that Leeds fans have compared Briers to Bailey, whilst some of the more intellectually challenged Pie Eaters have compared him to McIlorum. what they have all conveniently forgotten is that, because of these two players poor disciplinary record, they haven't had the opportunity for an early guilty plea when they been up at Red Hall. Added to that, they can't stand Lee Briers, probably because of the damage he's caused them over the years.
