Look at the game at or around 17 mins, Ablett tackles Briers then rolls back on top of him stopping Lee getting back into the game, he was also pushing down on Lee,s head. Its more clear on the slow mo replay of Hills crossfield kick, Ablett lying on and all over Briers,
Then on around 23 mins Ablett again targets Briers lands high then says whatever which provoked Briers into his brain f@rt. As TS said if the refs dont protect the players they take things into their own hands, not that I am condoning what Briers did but everyone has seen worse go unpunished and less result in yellow or even red cards, move on
Quote: Robbo "No problem. So long as the next time someone punches someone from behind the treatment is exactly the same, I.e no card and a grade A charge. Obviously the availability of an early guilty plea is what saved him.
However most of us know that isn't what will happen. After all the talk about this incident it's more likely the next player in the playoffs to throw the slightest dig will be sent off. All I want is consistency. Looking back at some of the cards we've seen over the season I think it's fair to say child bottled it.'"
Edwards would regularly Tw@ somebody in the middle of the park....and not even getting penalised....I bet you weren't complaining back then..if your old enough to remember that far back.
