Ducking down into a tacke or not,anything neck upwards is a high tacke. And therefor a red card.

If a high tackle is a red we'd be having games with much less than 13 a side every week!
It was a miscalculation by cahill. Brett took the ball and Cahill expected him to stand upright, instead Brett decided to go to ground and got clattered in the process- very badly timed by Cahill who came steaming in and didn't give himself time to check his approach so Cahill definitely at fault a yellow could (and has in similar circumstances ) have been given - but with the mitigating factor of hodgy going to ground I would say SOS.

Hodgson should be banned sine die for the vicious assault on Cahills forearm with his face.

Maybe if hodgson didnt FALL into every collision he wouldnt get levelled so often! Im not talking about the cahill tackle in particular, but he sets himself up on a regular basis!!

Not really a surprise, remember when McGuire did his knee against Wigan in a playoff game there was a fair amount on the Wigan board hoping is career was over...And Phil Clarke also said he deserved a serious injury in the press...
