| regarding curry places, there is a new one just opened up actually in st.george's square, as you face the square with the station behind you, its in the big building to the right, literally opposite the George hotel.
shabaab is now closed but nawaab is pretty good and chilli lounge is decent too.
there is also, botofogo, a Brazilian place just around the corner from the square, turn right at the bottom.
the 2 pubs at the station are both decent, kings head usually has a few guest ales on and not as busy as head of steam, I would try that, the cherry tree, wetherspoons pub, usually has a good selection of cheap ales from local breweries.
as for fartown, everything is closed down now but you can still wander around ad far as I know, but there is nothing there anymore except a pitch and a huge grass banking which was the old north terrace!, I would leave yourself a good couple of hours, its probably a 20 minute walk to fartown, presuming you don't stop at either the sportsman or slubbers arms on the way!
from the station, go straight down across the square, and straight across down the road to the ring road, turn left and follow the ring road to Tesco, then keep going following the Bradford road signs, past the car dealerships, this is Bradford road, keep on this road past the harp pub until the junction, turn left and follow this road, the fartown complex is on the right, the main entrance is further up just on the bend.
to get to the stadium from fartown, either go back the way you came along Bradford road, when you get to a junction turn left, follow this road under the railway bridge and the stadium will be in front of you, or go straight across at the big junction, to a mini roundabout, turn right, follow this road to the bottom and then follow the track over the canal, past the cricket field and then go straight across leeds road.
enjoy your day!
