being so far away it saddens me that people have to make these decisions about not going. after many years of seeing us win nothing, i am missing a lot of good times. the NYC wires branch will be out in force watching it on the box though

I hope that there is a good turn out on the day as I'm swelling our ranks from two regulars to ten including 2 Salford fans and 4 out and out WENDYBALLERS!!! I know it's a risk but hey ho.

We are going on the Ale Trail from Manchester Victoria to Hudd's but can promise all concerned that we will be totally convivial throughout. We are a non smoke bomb group and the only flares that we will be taking with us will be of the Brutus Gold type just edging over the toes of our Dunlop Greenflash of course.

It's the Challenge Cup semi final against a well supported opponent an hour away (if that) from Warrington with plenty of transport options, reasonably priced tickets, a decent chance of the sun shining, and a fourth Wembley appearance in five years up for grabs - almost certainly against Wigan.

If you can't be bothered going to that because you'd rather have an extra hours kip you're living one grim life!

Good post. Plenty of excuses on the hull board as well. Hope a few people have a change of heart or I fear how it will come across on TV. Not good for the game to see empty spaces at major events.

We don't get to any major events sadly. I just can't get my head round people who won attend a cup semi final. It's not just a dig at Wire, more RL fans in general. People moan about meaningless league games but won't attend knockout cup games?

The people who say they aren't going are probably taking our present dire run of form into account. Whilst we will probably not have as many as we hope, be quite sure there'll be more of us than there are of you. Bear in mind that despite playing in Yorkshire (our home county) we actually have to travel further than you.

However, that's up to them. I and many others will be there making as much noise as possible.

We've been well supported at these games and I'm convinced it does make a difference. This is no less important to the 'Wigan semi' at Widnes when we took some real support. Try and convince the waiverers that you know to make the effort.
