as an aside it must be fantastic being a widnes speccie at the moment, yeah they got smashed last week but i remember the excitement when warrington were in a similar phase... i'd say about the time we moved into new ground, graham appo scored 20 odd tries from stand off, signing gleeson the nxt year i think (not too disimilar to hock signing), danny lima doing his dj-celebration etc.
the team is now better but was much more interested in the regular rounds back then
if widnes can kick on like we did, we can stay up there, and the future of the derby is as a top of the league clash i'd be well happy, although i'd prefer us to win, obviously

Just strange how we can't create any atmosphere anymore, for any of the big games this season. When I heard We'd sold out for Widnes I actually thought It would be mega. Didn't expect to have 2000+ people in the East sat there in silence. |
