Back line disjointed. Backs receiving ball standing still, or the ball thrown behind them.
Forwards taking the ball up with no backup runners.
Poor kicking game
Monas was either unfit or still carrying an injury, and I suspect Joel might be as well.


TBH, I didn't see many positives at all. And I can see why Saints fans are so pessimistic as well. We looked like two mid table teams. I don't mind losing if the basics are done properly and the players are enthusiastic, but neither of those applied tonight. TS has a lot of work to do.

I'd have to agree with that, sadly. Chris Bridge was good, a very rare glimpse of incisive centre play but for the most part it was poor to the point of embarrassment.

Good for 50 mins but attack was panicked trying to catch up. Woody had a good game, so did Bridge. On the whole some good stuff but Winter blues. Warmer days and daylight games is where we kick on. Roll on summer, but keep the faith, we'll be there come Sept.

I don't want to write Stefan Ratchford off as a half back, but somebody needs to coach him how to draw a man (or two) in before passing the ball on - I was amazed at the amount of times he simply caught, and then immediately released the ball to the next man, without an opposition player near him.

As for the rest, nothing very positive to draw from the performance..... I don't want to make a knee-jerk reaction, but, dare I say, we looked a little old and battle weary out there, and we are only 6 games in.
