Was in sam platts before the game, lots of singing by leeds and wire fans then noticed some knob in a dark grey voi jeans t shirt doing the old come on then d**khead jesture and only cause a girl stopped him it didnt kick off. He was acting like a complete cock when everyone else was having banter. Didnt see any actual fighting at all the whole time but must admit the atmosphere is more like a football match than any other RL game home or away ive been too.

Personally I dont see why people 'need' to get p!$$ed at games. I said this on the Saints board a few years ago and there were strong opinions either way. Sad thing is though for every real fan who has a couple of beers ad has a laugh there are too many that get hammered and cause trouble.

Maybe it's time to just refuse entry to people who look too drunk and tighten the rules on beer in the ground.

Segregating the two ends behind the sticks, not having a 6pm kick off time and if necessary having a much larger police presence around the stadium and beyond into the city centre where fans are known to congregate would go a long way to solving this.

Segregation at finals needs to start happening. I've witnessed trouble first-hand on a few occasions recently and it's caused by those with the 'day out on the lash' mentality. They are not RL fans. I cannot remember any trouble caused by unsegregated fans in the same stand at a regular season game. It's a shame really.

It'll be a sad day for rugby league (I love mixing with other fans) but for the greater good it needs to happen.

Thinking on, something that I did find disgraceful was the hordes of Warrington fans leaving with about 10 minutes to go. Bleeding fair-weather fans, bandwagon jumpers, JCL's. Probably only the 2nd game they have been to this season (the other being the Challenge Cup Final).
