I'm as gutted as any other Wire fan by our loss tonight but you have to put your hands up and say the best team won over the 80 mins, if your going to lose to any team then i'd pick Leeds as they play the game the right way and they have a decent set of fans. We made too many errors on the night and some of our key players had below par performances by their own standards.

If someone had said to me at the start of the season that were going to appear in 2 major finals and win the challenge cup i'd have snapped their arm off, its another season where we have made progress. We now know what it takes to get to a grand final so the experience of tonight should hold us in good stead for the future, we havn't experienced losing in a final in recent times, when the dust has settled and the players are over tonights loss its going to make them even more determined never to experience what they felt at full time tonight, they will have been devastated.

Anyway congrats to Leeds and their fans, they deserved the win.

Yes we've had many season where taking the positives from the season involve barrel scraping. We won the Challenge Cup so it has been a great season. In our history we haven't won shedloads so any year where we win a major trophy is a great season for us.

Overall if we're honest we have not been as good this year as last year. A lot of times we have looked a bit unconvincing but we've shown now that the club has shifted up a level so even when we aren't really in a consistent rhythm we are still a pretty effective winning unit. We finished the year 2 tries short of winning the double.

We also won the U20s Grand Final. All those fans from other clubs that keep saying Warrington needs to start focusing on youth because door is going to be closed on imports because of the higher salary cap and better exchange rate in Australia, should be careful what they wish for.

My sentiments exactly Sally. Since Smithy has come in we have been building the winning ethos in the club & although we didn't quite do it tonight, things are looking bright for the future
