Aha, yeah thought so And yeah, it was at Wilderspool (The LA Bowl one must have been a separate meet), watched some videos of good wins we'd had so far that season IIRC.

I have thought about that, and also the possibility of driving back at the crack of dawn on Sunday morning. To be honest, though, if Wire win, I'd be wanting to celebrate, which precludes driving either Sat night or Sun morning. Not having had a 'true fan' badge since about 1991, I'll have to hand in my 'true glory hunter' one now as well

All this true fan bit is absolute rubbish. True fans are those who support their club whenever they can through thick and thin. It's a case of once a Wire, always a Wire. Most of these 'true fan' idiots were probably at the infamous sit-in to try to get rid of Cull.
