I think Coops has overtaken Tyke from Wembley after last night's performance

We need a side that are fit
If you can work with players that are about 75% fit, then so be it.
However, if they are any less, or ill, then there is no room for sentiment. THEY SHOULD NOT PLAY. I remember Bob Jackson playing well below his level at Wembley in '90, and finding out a few days later, he'd played with the 'flu. I'm sorry, but that's sentiment overruling common sense.
At this stage of the season, you're not going to have players 100% fit. If Carvell is not match fit, then he shouldn't be in the coach's 19, come Thursday afternoon, regardless of his (fantastic) efforts, this season.

There can be no room for sentiment in modern day sport.

Can now understand TS's thinking in choosing Coops last night who's more of a prop (although a little lightweight) rather than Tyke who's a 2nd rower.
3 props and a hooker - we needed to toughen up based on what happened last time.

Agreed Oxford, but I think whatever happens TS will judge the quality of the men who miss out by how they react.
