oh dear me, lack of insight at it's best!

my favorite was --

to wane- "who's going to win the warrington wigan match?"
wane- "if our forwards perform on the day, blah blah blah...we can win it"

to smith- "who's going to win the warrington wigan match?"

smith- "only a fool would predict a match before it's played"

Wane was quite dignified in the post match interview to be fair. He must be very worried though for next season with the quality of his replacements.

McDermott was very strange after the match though; he seemed exhausted and distracted. You would not have thought he was the winning coach!

He seems like an intelligent man. So, like our Tony, he's probably sick of the stupid questions that some of the Sky lot peddle out. Also like Tony (Sky interviewer questioning his abilities as a coach after England lost in the World Cup - in fact didn't be actually blame Tony for the defeat?), I'm sure someone at Sky questioned McD's abilities as a coach last season when Leeds were struggling.

You don't forget those kind if things and aren't going to be engaging with some complete fool whether he's got a mic in his hand or not.

It was fascinating stuff and all a bit abstract but you are right when you say he seemed to have a chip on his shoulder concerning comments that had been made.

What was also interesting was the Leeds shed at HT; he wasn't even talking..in fact no-one was really! Compare and contrast with Wane.

He went up in my estimation as a coach.
