| Yed put this in the VT then it went hugely off topic and went into the usual measuring contest so thought i would put it here as was a good idea and topic.
Quote: "During the final Jiffy mentioned at certain stages about Briers being intelligent as well as Mike Monaghan and Ryan Hall.
This got me thinking on players over the years, who would you describe as
a) The most intelligent players currently (rugby intelligence) SL and NRL
b) Most intelligent You've ever seen
c) Most intelligent from your team either now or one of your past players.
Briers with me being a Wire and biased in RL terms is simply the most intelligent player in SL for me but i've been blessed to see Alfie who i think he learned quite a lot off.
Alfie always seemed three steps ahead of anyone, even in our own team with Briers seemingly the only one who could keep up with him.'"

| Scott Dureau looks like a very intelligent player, he rang rings around us in the league game over there. I don't think we managed anything at all in trying to charge down his kicks other than looking stupid.

| Agree with all the RL players listed so far.
Just to throw a spanner in the works, I'd put Stephen Hawking, Richard Branson and David Beckham on a par with regards to intelligence. Discuss.

Darlings of Super League: |

| Lee Briers has one of the finest rugby brains I've ever come across. Having said that, his decision to pass while sitting down in the last 10 minutes on Saturday wasn't one of his finest moments.
