Always remember the blizzard we had to contend with in that CC tie at Oldham in the 90's.

(The one where the Wire fan, (who had imbibed too many shandies), ran onto to the pitch at half time to tackle the Oldham Bear mascot. To this day the funniest thing I have witnessed at a RL match, especially as the mascot got up and launched the bloke as he walked back to the stands)

I remember that. I don't remember the blizzard, in my head it had snowed the day before and it was that cold in Oldham it didn't melt.

I also remember another trip to Oldham the day Princess Diana died. Rained all day and we were torn apart by John Davidson.

Remember the hail stone on Brent Grose's debut, friendly V London I think. Fletcher End roof didn't offer a lot of cover really.

In the 60's ,Workington Town at home 0-0 draw, pitch like Pickmere lake & it rained most of the game...what a horrible experience that was.

I was about 12 at the time of that!! He got clattered back by the mascot whilst celebrating in front of the wire fans!! It was really funny. Nearly as funny was Finau's face, thinking what the hell is this white stuff on the floor!!!

Was that the 10-0 challenge cup game, we put the score down to the weather, but as the season went on realised it was because we were dump!!

Yeah that's the one - Anderson also put it down to the fact the team wouldn't be "ready" for matches until the season proper had kicked off, even though it was only something like 2 weeks away
