I'm sure I read once that weather men/girls can't properly predict the weather until about 48 hours before. However, I shall come prepared with a light rain jacket, just in case the heavens open and I get as wet as an otter's pocket.

Ah okay, just looked it up and apparently the roof partially closes to stop fans getting rained and stuff. Well they could do that I suppose. |

My understanding, from watching some Richard Hammond thing on TV, was that the roof being 'partially closed' is the norm, and it is retracted when there are no events on to allow more sunlight to get to the pitch. |
