| Quote Wirefan="Wirefan"I don't get it cod'ed what's your point?
My point is this year we are selecting games. Last year we just loved everyone and ended up running out of puff as a result.'"
So you elected to gain a fortunate point against Hull in your opening game?
And followed that up by electing to lose against Leeds, Hull KR, Saints, Catalans & Salford?
Sounds like a real plan to me

| I'm ed off that I'm not ed off in the slightest about tonight.
We can lose our other two SL games too and it wont matter. We don't need to finish top, top-two is the aim and we've sewen that up already in games we put some effort into. We get the same benefits finishing second as we would top.
Not trying to take anything away from London, who were excellent (and they were, and I don't see how we would have beaten them had we been full strength at playing at 100% - Broncos you were excellent tonight!), but we played at about 50-60% effort levels tonight.
One thing I can cling on to is that the fans that made the trip down there spent a load of money (ticket, fuel, food/drink, day off work) and should be refunded by the 17 players.
There we go something to be ed off about.Haha!
Tonight was a training session, roll on next week!

I think you get it really....We needed to finish in the top 2 - We have done.
We needed to do so while keeping players fresh - We have done.
We wanted to seriously challenge for the two meaningful trophies on offer - We are doing.
That sounds like a pretty half decent plan to me??

| Quote sir adrian morley="sir adrian morley"been there and bought enough tee shirts it happens in sport..be at wembley tho if we get battered so be it but remember the dark days when results like that were the norm and going to a final was a distant dream, remember them days,,be grateful we have a good team and a very good coach...take it you didnt go either'" If you'd have read my post on page 4 of this thread you'd have noticed i didn't go + yes i was a diehard in the dark days of the hammerings on a regular basis + to be honest i thought the days of getting 50+ points put past us were long gone especially when people keep going on about the depth of squad we have + there's accepting defeat with effort but the Wembley excuse a week before does not warrant such a disgraceful performance.Rant over.

| A lot of wire fans predicted a defeat or a narrow victory tonight. The margin was a surprise, but we are guaranteed 2nd spot. I can't see Wigan dropping points.
I only hope we field a strong side against the smellies for the last game. A defeat to them is unacceptable even in a pointless game.

| I can fully understand why people are hacked off with this performance.
For me it shows we don't have the strength in depth some think we have.
BUT I can't agree with all the doom and gloom (a lot of it -yes, but not all).
TS has to take responsibility for this performance. Simply too many changes.
Tyke had a good game imo and is in contention for a starting place as Wembley.
I thought Blythe tried hard and did OK, but won't force himself into the 17.
Evans didn't really do a lot wrong, and neither did Williams but they were never really in contention for Wembley in my view.
Bridge had a poor game but so did Monas
Moz looked off the pace compared to Hill
Cooper tried hard but is 5th prop at the club (6th if you include Harrison).
Riley had a poor game but was safe under the bomb (except for when Myler got in the way).
Woody and Waterhouse seemed to get pulled off early but did ok (hope they're not injured).
Grix did himself no favours and Solo needs to get fitter (really looked overweight).
Atkins seemed to have an eye on Wembley
Myler and Ratch still need a Briers in the side.
Early days but (unless there are any knocks I guess Wembley line up will be -
Hodgson
Riley
Atkins
Ratchford
Monaghan
Briers
Myler
Carvell
Higham
Hill
Westwood
Waterhouse
Harrison
Monas
Wood
Moz
and one from Grix / Tyke

| I really feel for all our fans that went to London tonight, they will have paid a lot of money and taken time off work to support their team.
Tony Smith has been fantastic for the Warrington Wolves but tonight's team selection has left a bad taste in my mouth.
