I have had three stays in Warrington Hospital and I cannot echo what you say loudly enough.

The staff was amazing and hard working. They are most definitely not paid enough.

What meant a lot to me was that my consultant rang in from his home on his day off, to check on me. Actions of that kind go unreported.

My elderly mother spent the last 10 weeks of her life in Ward A7. The care that she received was absolutely outstanding. The fact that the staff nurse cried when she passed away, spoke volumes about care and dedication.

Family member was in a few times recently and you'er spot on Fatbelly. Unfortunately you're only ever going to hear about the bad experiences that one or two have had rather than the overwhelming majority who couldn't be more grateful.

How lovely of you to post this. Sadly not enough of us praise the staff so you only hear from the moaners & groaners, everyone who I have been in contact with at both Warrington & Halton are hard working & caring. Thanks Fatbelly for reminding us to say THANK YOU NURSES & DOCTORS

Thankfully its not just at Warrington Hospital my father in law passed away 1 month ago and the staff at Ashford (Kent) hospital were incredible both with him and his family during his short stay there.
The car park staff even let you park for free on a Sunday and they will turn a blind eye if you are there for long periods of time in the week. Not that you should have to pay in the first place but that is another issue.

My mum is currently on A2 for the 2nd time & the staff have been amazing, absolutely brilliant care

I also have had nothing but fantastic experiences with the NHS.

They are great and we should be proud as a country that we have such great public services.

I though the olympics highlighted this very well

It is heartening to hear stories like these, because my own personal experience, on the few sad occasions I have had to visit a relative in care at Warrington have been at the opposite end of the scale.
Leighton hospital were also terrible in terms of care for two of my grandparents too.

Nice to know there are obviously some staff around do actually give a damn.

Who would have thought that people getting paid to do a job actually do their job?

Unfortunately I have seen too many occurrences of neglect in hospitals as well.

What next, praise for the binmen emptying the bins?
