| While there are a few issues that could do with being ironed out in our wonderful game, I think the one that is causing the most controversy is the issue of forward passes - particularly the ones that are missed!
Maybe a more potentially cost effective solution would be to have a mobile overhead camera and use the wonderful geometrical power of modern technology to simply determine the angle of trajectory at the point the ball is thrown.
If the horizontal line is considered to be zero degrees and the pass is zero degrees or less then the pass must level or backwards.
This will also take into account the momentum rule and any angled runs made by the passing player... it also erradicates the need of knowing the position of the receiving player.
Simples really!!
I suppose the real issue would be the cost of installing overhead railings and cables at each ground - but once done it would be there to use whenever SKY rolled into town. That said, I would personally would like to have a video ref at every game (but again, cost and the number of required officials is likely to be problematic - in the short term at least).
But as a principal idea, I think this could be a realistic solution...
Do you agree, or can you think of any more feasible suggestions?

What a great idea.
Also, when the ball 'thinks' that it has been unintentionally grounded in goal, (obviously it will be fully micro chipped up), it could blush, turn a bit pink and signal to the officials and the opposition that it expects to play on.
