The above is obviously only gate receipts. The RFL rules do talk about prize money for the players ( which is excluded from the cap), but I have no idea how much it is. I don't know if the club also gets prize money.

Mike's point about the wider benefits is also a good one. I haven't a clue how much we will make from sales of shirts etc. And yes, I would hope our season ticket sales increase. Finally, there is also another benefit in that it will be easier for us to attract other players ( and juniors) because we are seen as a successful club. Plus advertising should be more lucrative.

£25 a head is too conservative. There are very few at 26, loads at 36 going up to 51 and 70 odd. i know that some would have been bought for a tenner a while back, but I would say that the average is around £35.

Years ago each club used to make around 500 000 for appearing. I would say with all the shirt/flag sales etc we would be making approaching 750 000.

Well if the average ticket is £35, we would make £350,000 from the gate money.

I also seem to remember much higher figures in years gone by. But, the RFL appear to be trying to level the playing field for all clubs in order to ensure close matches and prevent rich clubs winning everything in sight. I think you can guess where the remaining 70% of the gate money goes ?
