Sky's commentators will ALWAYS "big up" the fashionable team, and treat the underdog/unfashionable team, with contempt.
We suffered from it for years, until Smith turned us around.

Whenever Eddie/Stevo etc praised us (when we were crap), it was through gritted teeth

its still thru gritted teeth even nowadays..next week will prove it

to be fair to Eddie and Stevo, they give us tons of credit, now......because we're successful.

If we played great rugby, but won nothing, they'd be laughing their cobblers off, at us.

I don't hear our fans giving loads of credit to teams like Saints that don't win anything?

But also the much derided Phil Clarke, was one of our bigger cheerleaders in the Cullen era. Whether that's because he was Cullen's mate or something I don't know, but when we were nowhere near winning anything, Clarke used to bang on about Warrington play the best rugby in Super League and when they are on their game only St Helens can live with them.

I thought this thread was about Brent Webb. Definately not a coward, but what an idiot at times. Can't see him playing for Leeds again after that display.

Think the majority of us on here will want him to play however! Much rather face Hardaker in the centre.

Yes, I'd love him to play, but I really think that he won't get picked again. One of several Leeds penalty machines.

Sinfield and Hall are quality. Hopefully our kick chase will test his nerve and kicking accuracy out of hand. Obviously helps having Monas guarding his wing though rather than the invisible mr fox.

For Wakey Amor looks very good, and Mariano was a handful. Other than that they just wanted it far more

It wasn't a full strength Leeds but I'm surprised by the performance. Similar to us vs Salford.
They are now almost nailed on for fifth/sixth place. Wonder if they'll close up shop in anticipation of the CC. We'll have to watch them in the final.

Brent Webb as been quality for Leeds for a good few seasons now but this could be one season to long!!!Hope he gets a shot at wembley though..

What did you make of the Rob Burrow incedent that left him out cold in commentry they had a debate about this kind of challenge or attack being banned??
