| Travelling down in car of 7, leaving probably around 0700.
Traditional stop at Hartshead Moor to contest the Most Random Service Station Purchase (last years winner: a child's wetsuit), unravel the ribbon tied to car that will have been driving us mad for an hour or so.
Onto the Pimms by 0900. Driver getting increasingy fraught by this point, Starburst all over the car.
Park up in pre-booked parking spot by side of stadium. You know the one, you'll have seen it on 24 where some Turkish arms dealers have been plotting something dastardly before Baeur sorts it all out.
Match, return to where our car hopefully still is and get the hell out of there.
My husband is coming with us this year, as a Leigh fan, the most he's seen of Wembley is when Bolton got their backsides handed to them last year, so I hope we win so he can see a throng of primrose and blue in full voice.
Can't wait.

| Quote Horatio Yed="Horatio Yed"If you're using Elstree & Borehamwood national rail then i'd suggest getting off at West Hampstead NR Stn
You could get off at Hendon and catch the 83 bus, but you'll hit a fair bit off traffic, so go a couple of stations more to West Hampstead then come out of the station.
West Hampstead has 3 different stations (National Rail, Local Overground and Underground) so make sure you get the right one.
Jubilee Line straight to Wembley Park Station.
National Rail, Elstree to W.Hampstead is £7.70 pp Adult return (Pricey because it's not under TFL).
No idea on child ticket (don't have any)
West Hampstead to Wembley Park are different prices depending on cash or oyster or Day travel card
Single fare for adult will be £4.30, if you have an oyster card it will be £1.40 single or get an unlimited Travel Card (make as many tube journeys as you like for the day) £7.70
I would suggest to anyone using public transport to get an Oyster card as it will keep your costs down.
If you really want to keep your costs down Paul get an Oyster card then a 292 bus from Borehamwood to Edgware, then a 79 from Edgeware to Wembley Central total cost per adult for that would only be £4.20 per person for the whole day, as the card is capped to that price, so after you've spent £4.20 every journey in the same day doesn't cost you anything.'"
Thanks for all the tips & advice. Think it will be very useful.

HY what are the best options if we are just staying overnight Oyster card wise.
We will be dropped off at Wembley on the Saturday then after the game make our way to Gloucester Road Tube. Then out for a meal & drink in the evening again using the Tube and the on the Sunday morning Gloucester Road back to Wembley.

Personally i wouldn't get ripped off by paying cash every time i travel, You get Oyster Cards from underground stations, £5 refundable deposit and then add what ever money you think you'll need, if at the end of your stay you hand your card in to the station with a receipt you'll get your fiver back plus what ever money you had on the card.
It saves you loads of money.

| Yes, Oyster Card covers Tube and Buses, and London Overground, it also carries a daily cap depending on which Zones you use and what you use.
If you use just the bus it's capped at £4.20 which means it only deducts £4.20 and after that technically free travel for the rest of that day.
But using the underground/overground changes the cap level from anything from £7-£15 depending.
