Quote: the flying biscuit "interesting to compare Smithys signings V Cullens later "HJ" signings
Reardon v Hodgson
Gleeson v Atkins
Hicks v J Monas
Mike Monas v Myler (well Cull did sign him as a scrum half)
Carvell v Hill ( I think he was signed before Cullen left maybe wrong)
King v Ratchford
Grose v Mathers
Morley v Solomona
Louis Anderson v Waterhouse
Joey Johns v Carney (similar amount of games played !!)
whatever your views on him Cullen did Alright'"
Hodgson is miles better than Reardon ever was
Gleeson vs Atkins is tough Gleeson on his day was unbelievable but Atkins is arguably the best centre in SL
Hicks vs J Monas hicks for me all day long Joel is class but Hicks had everything Joel had and also speed and could kick goals if necessary
M Monas vs Myler Monas but Myler is still young and quality (see myler thread for reasons) Monas is one of the clubs best ever signings in my opinion so he wins that one
Carvell and Hill is about a draw Carvell edges it slightly as he has played longer at the top level
Grose vs Mathers is a tough one probably Grose but again two players who did well at the club
Morley beats big Dave but they are different types of player so a comparison is tough
Louis Anderson just ahead of Waterhouse but thats mainly because its Waterhouse's first season and their maybe even more to come when he settles like King
Joey Johns beats Carney because of the Leeds game and by the time we got Carney he was a crock (would have liked to have seen Carney here in his prime)
King was quality truly a great player after the first season and Ratchford will end up at FB so it is hard to draw a comparison
