Hearing some nasty rumours that there isnt any pubs anywhere near the ground on sunday! Can anyone shed any light on this?

I didn't see any in the immediate vicinity at the league game two weeks ago.

I bought a beer at the ground. No queue. Firstly, because we were late in. Secondly, because it was the worst beer I ever had that wasn't "off". My advice - have a fanta.

they had a beer tent on the ground car park when i went two wks ago,was packed out though,so they may have a cpl of tents this time!

There are pubs on Liverpool Road Peel Green and I am meeting up with a supporters coach in The Unicorn which is the nearest to the ground, beyond that in 5 minute walking time further away there is The Grapes (Joey Holts) and The Packet House(used to be the best pint of Boddies in Eccles back in the day) just before the Bridgewater Canal. Also Eccles RLFC will be open and St. Michael's Social Club (probably the nearest drinking opportunity off plot) welcomes visitors
Anything further, loads of pubs all the way along Liverpool Road to Eccles Town Centre and Public Transport?
