| I thought we were pretty average but did enough. When I say average, same issues that have blighted us so far in terms of ball control etc. I thought largely speaking our pack was bullied at times, I thought Wigan forwards made far more yards and gained far better field position, they were winning the floor and all that. The likes of Lim,a Hock & Farrell looked like they could punch a hole at any minute.
All that said, we've some fantastic inner qualities, we dig deep for each other, we've a lovely habit of having a counter punch when seemingly we're on the back foot and taking all the pressure, we seem to find ways to keep ourselves in games that look to be slipping away, even in defeat we did this at Leeds and it nearly got us a result. There's a collectiveness that even with changes in personnel is clearly still there.
I think we've plenty carrying knocks and there's plenty not at the levels we know they can reach, I'd start with M.Monas but there's a lot of scope for improvement, throw in players to come back etc.
Great win, hopefully Saints get a good hiding on Sunday and no confidence ahead of their trip to our gaffe, then if the weather is kind we'll give Widnes sixty so there's plenty to look forward to.

| For those questioning Sam as a team player I'm guessing it's simply based on last night? He's been excellent at creating tries for others this season and acting as an extra playmaker as well as a runner.
On one occasion he made a good break and had Hock in support down the middle but covered by a couple of players and Richards supporting down the left. The only sensible pass was one to Richards but with Richards carrying an injury he wouldn't have made 10 yards with the ball before being tackled, so keeping hold was the right thing to do.

| Strange that we haven't seen a couple of our goon loving friends on here.
I only saw the 2nd half. I thought we played well in defence and are not hitting top form yet. Wigan looked very dangerous on the break and the result could have gone either way. Wigan do seem a little negative when they get down into the 20 meter zone.

| The game was great spectacle. I've read a few posts saying "we didn't deserve it". We defended brilliantly and put in a tough, gritty performance. I think Wigan were unlucky to be on the losing side again and couldn't really have complained if they'd have won. But it was a throughly well deserved win. The frightening thing is that we have so much to improve on.

I agree. It was a great game, highly entertaining but I think both teams were way off their best. Both Wigan and Warrington made a lot of mistakes and are much better than what they showed last night imo. I actually think that Warrington will get a lot more from that game than Wigan but in the end either team could have won it and it will be great to see who wins the games when they really matter.
