Also remember Charley is still only 20, and Riley is 23. As for versatility, Charnley played a lot of his academy RL at centre and played there when he was on loan at HKR. It'll be interesting too see if Wigan try him in that position when King or Roberts are fit. He's certainly the best young winger in the game IMO.

I would say that Charnleys strike rate of 31 tries in 33 Superleage games is better than Briscoes 34 tries from 54 Superleage games in the period from 2010 wouldn't you? and he's younger.

Tbh I'd also have Charnley over Briscoe. Incidentally both are players who should be in the centres rather than on the wing. Briscoe should have become a top player but Hull have done nothing with him.

However I disagree with Rogue's assessment that Charnley is certainly the best young winger in the game - Jones-Bishop is a more natural winger for me and rapid.

Not read the thread but would be suprised if anybody picked Riley ahead of charnley. Charnley is a far better player.
