lets not kid ourselves this comp was ours for the taking this year and we blew it good style we beat leeds twice this season convincingly yet when the BIG one comes around we fail. most of the team for some reason or another failed to turn up last night either complacency or bottlers?

That's a terrible insult to Leeds's effort last night....To say we bottled it is simply a cop-out, Leeds were tremendous and, in my opinion, would have beat any Super League side last night with that display.

The sad fact is some of our fans have got carried away with the way we have been blowing sides away this year and seemed to expect it every week, and when we didn't we get accused of 'bottling' it.....Last night was a play off match against an experienced, if under acheiving, Leeds side and was always going to be a tough game - There is no shame in the way we went out.

Agree, Leeds played their best game of the year, but they beat us by a 2 point penalty, good luck to them, I want them to win the GF, but Champions? Absolutely not !

Lets be honest - we won two Challenge Cups against sides that bottled it.

Huddersfield froze in the headlights of their first experience of Wembley, and then Leeds crumbled under the pressure last year and played a shocker.

We fortunately managed to avoid our nemesis the Saints because they bottled it in the semi finals both times (like this year as well)

But of course we thought those wins were cos we were just too good for our opponents. In both years we were clearly underdogs - in 2009 Hudds made the playoffs and had the best player in the league and we finished 9th. Last year Leeds went into the game as triple Grand Final winners and they couldn't handle the cauldron of knock out rugby.

Not bad.

However, just to clarify, the Wire Hudds final saw most bookies have both teams at 5/6 or 4/5, and we were marginal favourites against Leeds last year, IIRC.

Warrington messed up and we all know it. Leeds played well and deserved to win because we didnt play well enough to beat them.

All any supporter can ask of their team is to be competetive and consistent and this year you have been,top of the league,some great rugby played,a nice stadium,financial backing,a good team,a good coach.With only 3 items of silverware available its hard to keep winning them in a salary capped sport.
