The competition that has just finished, ie LEAGUE Leaders Shield, involved "a league table". At the end of it, Warrington were top, hence "we won the league"

It's called the league [size=200LEADERS'[/size shield. If you had 'won the league' it would be called the "League Winners' Shield", wouldn't it.

Just as winning the grand final makes you 'Super League Champions'. The words 'league' and 'champions' gives you a clue. It couldn't be clearer. Well, for people with a brain, of course.

Funny how 1 year ago a number of pies were also saying they had won the league (before the playoffs) and were going on to become SuperLeague champions. Same people as were saying "so what about the CC, dont mean what it used to".

And yes, there were many Wolves supporters saying the "hub cap meant nothing"

Anyways, the BBC back us as according to them Warrington have won the league and now its into the play-offs and the Grand Final to find the SuperLeague champions.

Next year I reckon we should get enough points to finish in the top 4 then play other U20s for the rest of the season "in readiness for the playoffs"

No, what's strange is that a team as good as yours have only ever won one playoff game. I hope that doesn't happen to you this time, but like I said in my last post - if your players are as blase as your supporters, it might do.

Super League consists of a league and playoff format. Coming top of the league does not mean you've won the whole thing, yet many of you (not all) are acting as though you've done it all, now, when in reality, the hard work to become the ACTUAL Super League winners, is only just starting.
