Quote: Fresh Prince of Chesh-air "Evening all, me and the missus are looking at booking a spa get-away somewhere local-ish i.e. cheshire/ the north west. Something along the lines of a body massage, use of the spa, evening meal, bed and breakfast that type of thing. I've looked on a few websites but it appears to be quite expensive. Anybody been to any that they can recommend which is good value for money.
Cheers in advance.'"
Spa getaways and good value for money don't naturally go hand in hand. If you don't want to pay through the nose you're probably going to have to sacrifice the spectacular setting of a luxurious country house hotel for something a little more modern and urban.
If you're happy to compromise, i'd recommend herehttps://www.hallmarkhotels.co.uk/our_hotels/manchester/rl
It's not somewhere I'd naturally pick - (more of a Rookery Hall type myself). That said, I did (somewhat reluctantly) go to a hen party here earlier in the year and it was suprisingly good value. The service and facilities were of a much higher standard then I expected and I'd actually go again. I'd avoid Saturday nights (or ask for a room away from the function suites) if you want to ensure a bit of peace and quiet.
Good value offers for Sunday nights, including dinner, wine, treatment, use of spa facilities etc. are available through Wahanda, herehttps://www.wahanda.com/service/322353-50-off-one-night-sunday-spa-break-at-health-club-and-spa-at-hallmark-hotel-manchester/rl
