Yes just as I'm sure many of the top prem teams are in awe of Ipswich town for once winning something when flairs & curly perms were the fashion (actually strike that as that combo is still current in Widnes). When in reality they've been a boil on the end of the competition for years.

It tickles me no end, that Widnes types consider themselves anywhere near meriting consideration.

Because by the standard of posting and the opinion of Widnes by many Wire fansin this thread, there's no point trying to have a sensible chat about our prospects next year without getting 'Widnes are cack and it smells' replies.

Exactly right, and let's not forget that the vast majority of Wire fans welcomed Widnes back into SL for 2012, hardly an attitude that merits criticism. It's when we start hearing that Widnes are an 'elite' club and Wire 'have done nowt in SL' that the retaliatory comments start to appear.

have to say that i'm looking forward to having widnes back. we have great rivalry with saints and wigan but our true derby is widnes and the
atmosphere in years gone by has been unbelievable.

if your on about my post i am joking on it as in brackets my other half is a widnes fan so i can banter and i have always said i wanted widnes back up but i do think you have to be prepared you aint gonna come up and be world beaters in the first season gonna take you a season maybe two to get used to the speed but once you settle down maybe get rid of betts i think youll be alright
