Quote gazmeister_89="gazmeister_89"just reading through the 'first match' topic, thought id start this on favourite memories.
i started watching around 98 when i was 8
mine have the be, the walk over bridgefoot bridge going to a game and the buzz in the air.
my first season ticket and top
seeing the players in the village hotel every week and getting my top signed by alfie, nikau, gee and everyone else i could get to.
halifax away where we pretty much secured SL status
last game at wilderspool
first game at HJ
leeds play off game away
wembley x 2:D'"
I think up to a certain age all of these will be mentioned.
I certainly loved the walkover the bridge when I was younger and also waiting in line through the little cut through after the corner shop. I remember the first time I saw it as a young kid and just being floored by it's size and the noise coming from it.
The last game at Wilderspool holds memories but as I am slightly younger (have only watched super league games and not for the first few seasons) My favourite memories are closer.
Winning at Wembley after being so sure it would be a pies vs sts final.
Sealing the deal with back to back wins was great and a real relief.
and even really recent ones (even though I couldn't be there) the smile on my face that lasted a week after we won at sts.
