| I'm told he's going Saints with Waterhouse. Wigan don't need him, they have the best two centres in SL in Gleeson and Carmont and wouldn't swap any of them them for Inglis....oh wait....
That was actually said on the Wigan board, I shiit you not.

| I would be very surprised if king didn't go back to Australia at the end of this season. I would be amazed if he went to Wigan.

It Starts :
=#FF0000THE rugby league world was in shock today at the sudden passing of Matt King’s Career, which ended after a short illness when the Australian Test star signed to play in England.
Witnesses described the decision as terminal.
King was a big and exciting winger or centre for the Melbourne Storm who rose from humble beginnings to play in front of full houses in Queensland and NSW, before succumbing to the lure of playing in front of 6000 fans in Warrington.

| I'll go against the grain and say that he'll sign for an extra year. He obviously wants an improved deal to the one he's on and if we can increase his dosh from £500k to say £600k then I think we'll see him in the P&B again next season.

An interesting quote taken from the blog from a Leeds fan
[i'The only thing you have said that I agree with is that he should not have joined Warrington. They have obviously offered him mega bucks but Warrington are a middle tier Super League team and in no real danger of ever challenging for anything.
In my honest opinion though, had Matt King signed for Leeds Rhinos, St Helens or Bradford Bulls he would go back to NRL a better player. The coaching and training facilities at Leeds are as good if not better than anything on offer in the NRL'[/i
How times have changed, true he would have won 3 grand finals at Leeds or a couple of challenge cups at saints and sod all at the Bulls. So the Wire will never challenge for honours then
I hope he stays on with us but if he decides to leave barring that first year or so when many of the team underperformed, it has been a pleasure watching him play in the primrose and blue.

| i really really hope he stays. He's been fantastic for us both on and off the pitch. He will always be respected here no-matter what his decision, just
hope it is the p and b option.

| How could Wigan afford him and stay under the salary cap?
He's already played for one club who had their Grand Final wins stripped because of breaching the salary cap, he can't risk it with Wigan?

| I'd be gutted if he left for one of our rivals, but if he goes back to Aus' then I hope he goes on to even greater success than he experienced at the Storm.
Perhaps he ought to sign a 12 month extension on similar terms to his existing contract if only to make up for the first 12 months that he was here
