Has it? It began with everyone agreeing, yeah, then the usual suspects crawled out the woodwork to defend the indefensible by making some unsubstantiated claims against Tomkins. And since arguments for the indefensible are, by definition, pretty hard to maintain, it's now degenerated into petty personal jibes. I agree with your sentiment though, it's a shame we can't simply agree that it was out of order.
