In my humble opinion (and having seen Henson playing many years ago for Swansea) he is one of the top 5 backs in World rugby in either code - I'm being serious as well.
Henson is unbelievably talented, if you watch him he always has time and seems to glide/ghost past people as if he isn't travelling. My view on Henson's problem is that, because he is that good, he actually can't be bothered because there is no challenge out there for him on the pitch week to week but when he wants to he is frighteningly good. As an example, many moons ago Clive Woodward was in charge of the British Lions and made the mega (but understandable) mistake of basing the Test side around his old England players - Henson never got a sniff. After not being selected for the 1st Test he was picked for the mid-week proir to it and made the game a virtual one man show simply to prove his point that he shouldn't have been left out. He's that good. When he wants to be - and that's his problem.
He'd be good in League no problem if you can deal with all the above.
Maybe you're right, but he's hardly played in the past two years. He didn't impress at Saracens and looked well off the pace, and all he succeeded in doing at Toulon was to upset everyone. A really class player on his day, but at 29 there aren't many of those days left.
