| I would be go and watch our Under 20's v Swinton. I will not be going if we are playing the first team with a couple of players rested (which I assume will be the case).

| Only players I'd consider resting is Moz & Carvell, and maybe Westwood. Obviously Briers, Hodgson and LAnderson who picked up knocks at the weekend too. Apart from that, keep the 3/4's and OB going.
Obviously to do the above means none of our first choice forwards are out there so it would mean a recall for at least one of Mitch, Tyke & Blythe.

| Did hudds not get knocked out by a team 2 div lower when tony smith was coach. sure I heard him mention it in an interview, so he will give Swinton the respect they deserve.

| Its a tricky one to call for TS because of the Leeds game the following week. But we must show Swinton and the Challenge Cup respect.
I would like some players to be rested. But not so many that our chances of progressing is put in danger.
Obviously in TS we trust, but I hope we rest Moz, Brett, Lee, Louis, Ben W, and Monas M.
By resting six players we would be able to field a team that shows respect to not only Swinton but the Challenge Cup as a competition, whilst also giving us a very good chance of progressing to the next round.

Who comes in to replace those 6? Blythe, Riley, Evans, Clarke, Williams....? Mitchell and McCarthy both on loan, aren't they, rather than dual registration?
So,
Riley
Williams
Evans
Atkins
King
Bridge
O'Brien
Carvell
Clarke
Wood
Solomona
Blythe
Grix
Higham
Cooper
Joel Monas
Laithwaite?

That would be Hunslet beating Huddersfield in 2003.

With all due respect to the Huddersfield side of 2003, our current vintage is on another planet.
A second string Wire side would easily beat Swinton, but it would be showing them and the competition a lack of respect if we were to do this.

ANCW,
That team is strong and would give us a very good chnce of getting through to the next round.
Tyrone went on loan to Wakey for one month commencing 28th April. Unless it has been extended we could recall him.

The only change I would do to your team would be swap Grix and Bridge around and bring Tyrone onto the bench if he is avaiable.

| All this talk of "that team would stand a very good chance of progressing to the next round" is a bit of an understatement.
The teams both of you have named would put at least 50 points past Swinton. Matches between teams like ourselves and anyone outside the top division are mere formalities.
Also to go back to a point raised by the OP, I can't understand the attitude of some people on here to football and it's supporters either. All this 'wendyball' nonsense, it's the most popular sport in the world for a good reason.

| I have read with interest all the posts from you Warrington fans and I can see both sets of arguments with regard to the standard of team you play against my team Swinton.
What is evident is the fact that a few of you have forgotten that not so long ago Warrington were a side struggling to stay in this ridiculous set up we now have called Super league.I refer to the posts regarding your under 21's being fielded and being good enough to beat the Lions. When was the last time any of you lot went to a game outside of the protected haven of super league, there are many very very good teams knocking about who i suspect would be more than a match for your under 21's and to sugest anything otherwise smacks of arrogance.
When the Lions take to the field on Friday the majority will have just put in a full days work at their chosen job and will have done so all week unlike the Wire players, I know that is no fault of the Warrington club, but it has created a two tier Rugby league in this country. It might well be the time When Super League Europe branch off and leave the Championship and Championship one clubs to do there own thing.
Assuming you don't play a side to understrength I am under no illusions you will beat the Lions and if you do I hope to see your club at Wembley in August when I will join many others from the "have not's divisions" in celebrating a great old cup competition and a Wires win.
