Fully agree. Had a feeling the forum would be on about Clarke after the match finished.
RL is a team game and it took the whole team working together to lose this one, it wasn't just one person.

| think after a defeat it is very easy to pick out a scapegoat , but clarke is not doing himself no favours , we can handle players having an off day thats life but when you are selected to play you need to justify why you are picked over someone else....what do you actually bring to the team. He is running out of chances , today was another chance to try gaz o brien in the halves im sure the kid would of brought a bit more to the cause

Neither is Solomona, yet he is hailed as a god everytime he comes on and is greeted with that dumb chopping motion with the hand.

| He was no poorer than Briers & Monaghan (x2 actually).
I'm just not sure what he is anymore, I can't knock his effort & commitment to Warrington, and I love the fact you can throw him in at any position and he'll have a dig, but I don't see him as a specialist anything anymore. He looks ineffective at hooker, lighweight in the pack, he's not a halfback.
Briers looked lost today, I think because Monas looked lost, he sort of takes his lead from him now. It's the quality of ball he gets from Monas, the plays are set etc, he looked the same in the Catalans game.

Their is only one thing on this thread thats pathetic and thats your love in with Jon Clarke.
He's started 2 games this year and prior to him starting a game we've gone from being in great form without him to looking like a shadow of our former selves when he starts. When we were struggling away at Huddersfield and we needed some spark from the bench he came on and just made things a whole lot worse.
No it aint all Clarkes fault but you get the feeling that when he starts he drags us down down to his own level, you can't have him in any key position as he'll just slow things down, as a team we like to play fast flowing RL and his basic left and right passes can easily be read in the next county.
The game has moved on a lot since he was a capable player, he aint quick enough in anything he does to compliment our fast flowing style.

I'm a big fan of a fully fit Solomona thats on his game as he's probably one of the best "if not the best" in the world at what he does, i said a while back that he should be rested and also something should be done with his fitness and physique.
Its getting to a stage where his body size is moving towards Paleaaesina levels, players will probably start to run at him like we did with Paleaaesina and expose his lack of mobility.

| Solomona hasn't had a good game all season. Keep waiting for him to fire, beginning to think it might not happen.

And the same thing you have written for five years.
He does what he's always done. He moves the pack forward when he is hooker, he plays it simple when he's at 7.
He's not as good as Monaghan and he is struggling for form at present, but he could win us the GF and you wouldn't give him any credit cos he didn't scoot like Higham.

You can't have been watching Warrington much this year, he's been a standout player for the Wire this year!
