Quote WireWonder="WireWonder"In world Rugby League i'd only rate that crowd from Pieland as bigger club. Stains and the Whinos some might say but not me. That pair are spent forces anyway and don't get me started on the cocky Widnes Vikings.
We may be the number 2 club in terms of size, but we are number 1 right now as easily the best side in SL,maybe even the world.'"
Whilst I'd like to agree with you here, I like to keep my feet on the ground. Sunday was disappointing, yes we lost Monnas & Bridge but they were also missing key players during the game through injuries. (Not accounting for our other injuries. I cant cout Super Benny W as he was rested

) We failed to seize the initiative and press on with silly knock ons on the first tackle and also some daft attempts at cutting inside on a number of occasions from Riley. On that basis I would say we are nowhere near the best team in the world. The victories against Saints, Leeds & Wigan all prove WE CAN BE WORLD BEATERS. Hey, we cant win them all, but lets remain focused. No prizes given out in April but you can also be a long way off achieving anything at this stage of the season. We are in the hunt and hopefully with the return of players it will help promote challenges for positions which will also be good for the club.
Wigan are probably a bigger club at this time based on attendances, but we all know a few bad results and its easy for the spectators to fall away. Widnes have seen this and in turn they will probably see an upturn in their attendances that may also fall if the fail to live up to their expectations. (Fans not staff)
I feel we are getting stronger and our junior /under 20's side are doing well which will help long term.
